SODC was incorporated in Alberta in May 2010.
Since then, it has funded 8 economic development projects. These projects have primarily been in 5 needed areas:
- Transition of ownership from older entrepreneurs to younger entrepreneurs
- New business
- Expansion or renovation of existing business
- Housing
- Farmland
SODC works with the entrepreneur to develop leases, loans, or projects that are workable and to ensure success.
